How It Works
Quarterly Block Scheduling
Give your student the ability to focus.
Quarterly block scheduling is an effective tool used to help students at Insight Schools of California (ISCA) gain a greater focus on lessons and master objectives.
Block scheduling allows students to concentrate on fewer courses at a time in a condensed schedule (typically a nine-week period). By spending more time on each subject, students can:
- Focus their efforts without having to jump from course to course every day
- Work on lessons during an extended class session and receive real-time help from their teacher
Block scheduling is offered in these high school courses:
- Science
- Social studies
- Health
- Physical education
- Several electives
Core English and math courses are offered only in a semester format. A full-time student will typically be enrolled in four courses at any given time.
